Never used them but Wilkinson are well known for making stuff that's a very good for the price and a bit different from all the other cheap clone parts you usually find for that sort of money. Whether it's an upgrade from what you already have depends on what you already have, and your personal tastes.

Wilkinson Pickups - Are they any good? Has anybody installed/used/tried these pickups? In particular, the humbuckers. The set I'm looking at are 7.4Kohm (neck) and 13.8Kohm (bridge) with metal covers (Gibson LP style). I did a google for reviews but didn't have much luck. Even though these Wilkinson P-90 pickups are copies of other P-90 pickups on the market, it's actually not obvious that they are actually copies. I find them really nice and does a good job for me

My experience with Wilkinson pickups is that the Wilkinson Premium line is very good. Have always heard their trems are a good upgrade for F style guitars. With GFS, if you are getting those made for GFS by Artec, they're good pickups.

Hey, Bought a set of Wilkinson vintage Stratocaster pickups years ago (maybe 2) and complete a squier project. They sounded good but I dismissed them and moved on to next project. I noticed, in terms of tone, I find ceramics not bad for at home on your own playing. Sound like they have slightly scooped mids, quite bright.

From my experience, Wilkinson pickups are definitely an upgrade for cheap Squier S-type pickups. I have not compared them to US Fenders. But I think if you want to upgrade from US Fenders you probably should be looking for some higher priced stuff like Seymour Duncan Antiquity.
